The Colosseum

Connect your wallet at onchain.cc and trade. You're automatically enrolled in the Colosseum the moment you make your first trade — no sign-up, no opt-in. Points start accumulating immediately and you'll receive your first loot box from the new-trader quest.

A Season runs for weeks to months with a global prize pool ($300,000+ in Season 1) and a final end-of-season leaderboard payout. Inside each season are shorter weekly Sessions — each has its own dedicated prize pool and leaderboard that resets when it ends. Your lifetime rank accumulates across every session in a season; your session leaderboard position starts fresh each week.

Trading volume is the base — every trade earns points proportional to USD value. On top of that you stack multipliers: your rank tier multiplier (higher rank = bigger multiplier), your faction multiplier if you've joined a team, any active Bonus Window (e.g. 3× points on SOL pairs for 4 hours), and quest completion bonuses. The formula is: Points = Volume × Rank Multiplier × Faction Multiplier × Bonus Window × Quest Multiplier. Running all four simultaneously gives the highest yield.

Bonus Windows are time-limited multiplier events — examples include '2× points for the next 4 hours' or '3× points on SOL pairs until midnight UTC.' They're announced on the Colosseum dashboard with a live countdown timer, and via Discord. Once expired, points revert to your base rate. Trading aggressively during these windows is the fastest way to climb the session leaderboard.

Contents randomise at the moment you open the box. There are four tiers: Common (bonus points + XP), Rare (increased points, XP, seasonal rewards), Epic (highest points, exclusive seasonal rewards), and Legendary (up to $500 USDC or an enormous point haul). Rarity determines the possible reward pool, not a fixed payout. Boxes don't expire, but season-exclusive items inside them become unavailable after the season ends — open during the active season to maximise value.

Factions are trader teams. Joining one applies a faction multiplier on top of all your personal earnings — it's essentially free extra points for trading the same volume. Factions also compete on their own collective leaderboard. You can only be in one faction at a time and must leave before switching. Browse available factions in the Colosseum tab and apply or use a direct invite link.

Post about your trading on X (Twitter) and tag the official onchain.cc account. An AI evaluates each post on a 0–100 scale using quality (originality, information), reach (follower count, impressions), and engagement (likes, replies, reposts). Screenshots and specific trade insights score significantly higher than generic copy-paste posts. Points appear within hours and can grow as the post continues earning engagement. Spam, duplicate posts, and artificially inflated metrics are penalised.

No. Rank tiers only move upward — once you reach a tier you stay there permanently. Each rank has 4 sub-levels (I–IV) that track incremental progress within the tier. New seasons reset the leaderboard and prize pool distribution, but your rank tier carries forward indefinitely.

Share your referral link and earn a cut of the trading fees paid by everyone you invite — for up to 18 months per referral. Your referral tier (Wood → Bronze → Silver → Gold → Platinum) determines the percentage you earn, and it scales with how many active referrals you have. The more active traders you bring in, the higher your tier climbs and the larger your fee share.

Session prizes distribute to your onchain.cc wallet within 7 days of a session closing. End-of-season leaderboard prizes pay out after the season concludes. The prize structure is weighted toward the top — first place takes the largest slice — but prizes extend to multiple finishers. The session leaderboard refreshes every 60 seconds so you can track your position in real time.

Unclaimed quest rewards don't expire — but daily and weekly quest progress resets on schedule whether you've claimed it or not. One-time milestone quests are permanent once earned. Loot boxes from quests are safe to hold, but any season-exclusive items inside them become unavailable after the current season ends.
